Chinese Learning BuddyTerms of Service
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Chinese Learning Buddy mobile application, website and browser-based services (collectively, the “Service”). By creating an account, purchasing a membership or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. The Service
Chinese Learning Buddy is an independent educational tool that provides Chinese vocabulary flashcards, quick review, dictation, vocabulary practice, mistake review and related learning features. Content may be changed, expanded or reorganised as the Service develops.
2. Accounts and Eligibility
- You must provide accurate registration information and keep your login credentials secure.
- You are responsible for activity carried out through your account, except where caused by our fault.
- A minor should use the Service and paid features with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian.
- Memberships are for the registered account and may not be resold, shared commercially or transferred without our written approval.
3. Memberships and Payments
3.1 App-store subscriptions
Subscriptions purchased through Apple App Store or Google Play are billed, renewed, cancelled and refunded under the applicable platform’s terms and the details shown at the time of purchase. You are responsible for managing renewal through your Apple or Google account.
3.2 Direct fixed-term memberships
A membership purchased directly through WhatsApp or another approved channel is a fixed-term membership for the period stated at purchase. It is not automatically renewed unless this is clearly disclosed and separately accepted. The membership begins when payment is verified and we activate the specified account. You must provide the correct registered account information.
3.3 Prices and promotions
Prices, promotional periods and available plans may change prospectively as features and operating costs change. A change will not shorten a fixed membership period that has already been paid for and activated.
3.4 Refunds
Refund requests for Apple App Store or Google Play purchases are handled under the relevant platform’s policies. For a direct purchase, contact us promptly; the request will be assessed according to applicable law, the circumstances and whether the digital membership has already been activated or used.
4. Acceptable Use
You must not misuse the Service, interfere with its security, attempt unauthorised access, copy or extract content at scale, bypass payment or access controls, distribute account credentials commercially, or use the Service in violation of law or the rights of others.
5. Intellectual Property
The Service, its software, design, branding, text, images, audio and learning content are owned by CLB or its licensors. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service for personal, non-commercial learning during your authorised access period. No other rights are granted.
6. Availability and Changes
We aim to keep the Service available and accurate, but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Maintenance, network conditions, device compatibility or events beyond our control may cause interruptions. We may update, replace or discontinue features where reasonably necessary.
7. Educational Disclaimer
The Service is a learning aid. We do not guarantee a particular examination score, grade or learning outcome. Users should exercise their own judgment and follow school or examination requirements.
8. Suspension and Termination
We may restrict or suspend an account where we reasonably believe there is fraud, abuse, unlawful activity, security risk, payment reversal or a material breach of these Terms. You may stop using the Service and request account deletion in accordance with the Privacy Policy. Cancelling an account does not automatically cancel an Apple or Google subscription; platform subscriptions must be managed through the relevant store.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, CLB is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms when the Service or legal requirements change. Material changes may be notified in the App or on the website. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

一、本服务内容
Chinese Learning Buddy 是独立开发的华文学习辅助工具，提供词语闪卡、快速复习、听写模式、词语练习、错题复习及相关学习功能。随着产品发展，内容和功能可能增加、调整或重新整理。
二、账号及使用资格
- 您应提供真实准确的注册资料，并妥善保管登录信息。
- 除因我们过错造成的情况外，您应对通过本人账号进行的活动负责。
- 未成年人应在父母或法定监护人同意及监督下使用本服务及付费功能。
- 会员权益仅供已登记账号使用，未经书面同意不得转售、商业共享或转让。
三、会员及付款
1. 应用商店订阅
通过 Apple App Store 或 Google Play 购买的订阅，其扣款、续费、取消及退款由相应平台的条款和购买页面所示信息管理。您应通过自己的 Apple 或 Google 账号管理续费。
2. 直接购买的固定期限会员
通过 WhatsApp 或其他获准渠道直接购买的会员，为购买时注明期限的固定期限会员。除非另有明确说明并由您另行同意，否则不会自动续费。我们核实付款并为指定账号开通后，会员期开始计算。您应提供正确的已注册账号资料。
3. 价格及促销
随着功能及运营成本变化，价格、促销期限和可选套餐可能对未来购买作出调整；已经付款并开通的固定会员期限不会因此缩短。
4. 退款
Apple App Store 或 Google Play 的退款申请按照相应平台政策处理。直接购买如需申请退款，请尽快联系我们；我们会根据适用法律、具体情况，以及数字会员是否已经开通或使用进行评估。
四、合理使用
您不得滥用本服务、干扰系统安全、尝试未经授权的访问、大规模复制或提取内容、绕过付款或访问控制、商业分发账号资料，或利用本服务从事违法或侵害他人权益的活动。
五、知识产权
本服务的软件、设计、品牌、文字、图片、音频及学习内容由 CLB 或相关授权方拥有。我们仅在您获准使用期间，授予您个人、非商业、不可转让的有限使用权，不授予其他权利。
六、服务可用性及调整
我们会尽力维持服务稳定和内容准确，但不保证服务绝不中断或完全没有错误。维护、网络状况、设备兼容性或不可控事件可能造成暂时中断；在合理必要的情况下，我们也可能更新、替换或停止部分功能。
七、学习效果说明
本服务属于学习辅助工具，不保证特定考试成绩、分数或学习成果。用户仍应根据学校及考试要求自行判断和安排学习。
八、暂停、终止及注销
如我们有合理理由认为账号涉及欺诈、滥用、违法活动、安全风险、付款撤销或严重违反本条款，可限制或暂停账号。您可以停止使用本服务，并依据隐私政策申请注销账号。注销 CLB 账号不会自动取消 Apple 或 Google 订阅；应用商店订阅仍须在相应平台中自行管理。
九、责任限制
在法律允许的最大范围内，CLB 不对因使用本服务产生的间接、附带或后果性损失承担责任。本条款不排除法律上不得排除的责任。
十、条款更新
当本服务或法律要求发生变化时，我们可能更新本条款。重大变更可能通过应用内或官网通知；在生效日期后继续使用本服务，视为接受更新后的条款。
